Situation: A fast-growing project services company was full of newly promoted leaders who were struggling with the jump into management. Expectations were high, experience was low, and the pressure was showing.

Approach: We listened first - understanding what leaders found hardest and where senior managers saw the gaps. Everyone completed a leadership assessment, built a development plan, and worked through a blended programme of online workshops, face-to-face sessions, on-job practice and optional coaching.

Result: Those who leaned in grew quickly, with several promoted again. Senior managers gained visibility of unhelpful behaviours and wider contributors to turnover. The programme was refined after the first cohort, and more leaders showed clear, noticeable progress.

Situation: A group of experienced leaders had become so stretched that performance conversations were being delayed or avoided. Small issues were growing, complaints were rising, and more cases were landing on HR’s desk for formal action.

Approach: We refreshed the basics with clear written guides and interactive material, supported by optional online refresher sessions. A focused one-day workshop introduced new concepts, tools and gave leaders time to practise difficult conversations. Each person left with a plan for their next conversation and the option of follow-up coaching.

Result: Issues were raised earlier and handled before they escalated. Regular 1:1s increased, leaders held firmer lines on behaviour, and HR saw more constructive engagement instead of late-stage problems.
